Burdock is the main ingredient in the drink Dandelion and Burdock. But it can also be used in soups, stews and stir fries, offering a sweet mild flavour.
For tea: Use 1 teaspoon per cup of water and simmer for 20 minutes before straining.
Burdock grows across Asia, Europe and North America. It can grow up to 10 feet tall, 3 foot wide, with roots growing up to 3 foot deep. The root is often harvested in the first year, as this is when Inulin levels are at their highest.
