Organic Fonio Is an ancient food that has been used for thousands of years in both savoury and sweet foods. Today it is wonderful for Tabbouleh or Moroccan style dishes or with fruit and honey as a similar meal to porridge. is often referred to as a 'pseudo grain' as it is a seed that acts as a grain. Due to it being a seed it has far more nutrients and protein than other grains and is perfect for vegans and vegetarians. There is also a high fibre content and Fonio is protein rich containing many amino acids that are excellent for the body.

To cook we recommend rinsing with water until water runs clear, adding to boiling water along with a pinch of salt and cook for around 2 minutes on low until the water is absorbed. Then mmix with a fork and let sit for 5-10 minutes, serve and enjoy.
